Meet our Founder
Teresa has been an advocate for all animals since she was a little girl. She grew up with multiple family pets from fish to hamsters to cats and dogs. As soon as she moved out on her own she quickly began adopting dogs of her own. Her fourth resuce, Tucker, was the dog that changed her as person forever. He was more than a dog or a pet, he was her Heart Dog. He not only touched her life, but he touched her very soul. She lost Tucker to cancer in 2020 and she has used her love for him and all of her rescues to launch Heart Dog Nation.
